Unfortunately Tasmania would not fit and it has been moved - better than being left off.

Bee transport

I transported a hive of Tetragonula hockingsi native bees to Home Hill.
The bees spent five days confined by insect screen in their hive and they coped well.
Tetragonula hockingsi are native to coastal Queensland - they fly at temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius.

The Bowen Mango

The Bowen mango was always the best eating mango when I was a child. Now the cultivar is called Kensington Pride.
Local controversy is the way this giant mango is displayed - it is upside down compared to the way mangoes hang on the tree.

Giraffes and Rockets


Bororen also claims to have a big giraffe but maybe it is just a normal size for a giraffe. It is next door to the Red Rocket Diner which does not make a claim to being big.

Glasochrom

 


The Catan Dice Game comes with small marking pads to keep score, but you can get the pdf of the score sheet off the Catan website and print it out full size.

By laminating the pages with plastic (yes I know) I could mark the pages and then re-use them.

I did not want to use a plastic pen to mark them but I found a pencil to do the job - Staedtler Glasochrom.
